Dr. Lula’s journey into natural healthcare began in the fast-paced studios of Manhattan, where she taught yoga and witnessed firsthand how deeply people longed for personalized healing. Students often stayed after class to ask about their specific aches, pains, and limitations—planting the seed for a more expansive path in care.
Driven to deepen her ability to help others, Dr. Lula left New York City for the balance of Portland, Oregon, where she attended Western State Chiropractic College. During her time there, she founded the WSCC Yoga Club and was honored with the Clinical Excellence Award for her compassionate and skillful work in the campus health center.
In 2009, Dr. Lula founded and operated Lula Health Center, an integrative natural health clinic serving inner-city Portland with chiropractic, massage therapy, acupuncture, and naturopathy. For 15 years, she supported patients through hands-on chiropractic care with a holistic lens, helping many navigate chronic pain and complex conditions. Over time, however, she began to feel the limits of treating the physical body alone.
Following her own experience of professional burnout, Dr. Lula discovered breathwork—a modality that spoke to the emotional, energetic, and deeply held patterns shaped by trauma. What began as personal healing became a profound expansion of her clinical approach.
After stepping away to reconnect with herself and her medicine, Dr. Lula now returns to the healing space with renewed clarity and purpose. As a Chiropractic Physician and Breathwave Facilitator, she weaves together bodywork and breathwork, alignment and expansion—creating a space where true, whole-person healing can unfold.
